Bruen Chapel will celebrate Maundy Thursday with a brief evening worship service and Holy Communion at 7:30 pm.

Maundy or Holy Thursday is a special evening service the Thursday before Easter that commerorates Jesus’ Last Supper and washing the disciples’ feet. The word Maundy, like mandate, comes from the Latin word for “command” and refers to the command Jesus gave to the disciples to love and serve one another.  On the night before his crucifixion, Jesus showed tremendous humility in washing his disciples’ feet, reminding Christians like us of our charge to serve others.
