Bruen Chapel is happy to welcome retired minister Dave Lough to the pulpit for the last two Sundays in June.
Born and raised in Waynesboro, Virginia, he’s been a part of the Church his entire life being discipled in the Southern Presbyterian, Episcopal, and Methodist Churches. He did his studies at University of South Carolina, Wesley Theological Seminary, The American University, and St. Mary’s Seminary and University. He served three years with the Peace Corps in the African country of Chad after college. He became a United Methodist minister and served for 31 years in the Central New York and Virginia Conferences. During his retirement, he has been substitute teaching in two County school systems, volunteer chaplain at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax County Community Chaplain, Travelers Aid International volunteer at Dulles International Airport, and an active member at Dulin UMC in Falls Church. He has been married to his wife Sunita for 45 years and have two sons, Adam (wife Joey) and Ivan (wife Parismita), and four grandchildren, Marley, Jude, Elijah, and Eleanor.
