It’s hard to believe it, but Lent starts next week with Ash Wednesday on February 10th.  Bruen Chapel will offer the imposition of ashes from noon to 1 PM and then again in the evening from 7 to 8 PM.  Everyone is welcome.

Ash Wednesday reminds us that we are dust and will return to dust one day, which should impel us to focus on the things that matter and outlast this world.  Lent is a 40 day period of humility and penitence meant to mirror Jesus being tempted in the wilderness for forty days before starting his earthly ministry in earnest.
