Lent is a 40 day penitential period before Easter that recalls Jesus’s time of struggle in the wilderness with temptation before beginning his ministry. You are invited to come to our sanctuary for personal quiet prayer and reflection. The sign of the cross in ashes will be offered at the altar rail for any who wish to receive this at this time.
With the imposition of ashes, we are reminded of our mortality and Christ’s offer of new life in perfect fellowship with God as these words are repeated: “Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return. Repent and believe the gospel!”
